Monica served as an educator at Sebastian International and later as Director of Education for Salon Resources, developing workshops, classes, and product launches that left a lasting mark on the industry. As Director of Operations for In Magazine and Today in Church Magazine, she led teams, directed compelling stories, and conducted interviews with notable figures about their spiritual journeys. These experiences reinforced her belief that the greatest impact is achieved when knowledge is combined with purpose.
Monica’s personal journey has been equally transformative. She navigated profound loss, including the passing of her core family members, which required her to reimagine life and confront generational and personal wounds. Through this, she discovered the power of intuition, resilience, and spiritual alignment. Her studies of the Divine Feminine with Dr. Caroline ‘Isis’ Fuqua and Bettie Spruill, initiation into Transcendental Meditation, and dedication to the teachings of Yogini Nithyananda have provided her with deep tools for self-mastery and guidance for others.
These experiences led Monica to create Black Women Amplified, a platform amplifying the voices and stories of remarkable Black women.
